CATECHETICS (INCLUDES ALL VOLUNTEERS AS CATECHISTS, CLASSROOM ASSISTANTS AND HALL MONITORS)
Purpose
​
Provide Catechetical program to parish families
​
Involve youth in building/learning about their relationship with God
Time Commitment
​
1 hour preparation prior to class
​
1 hour weekly class (may be extra ½ hour for set up& clean up)
​
Participation in occasional mass especially if sacrament year
Talents/Skills Required
​
Willingness to teach Catechism
​
Enthusiasm
​
Patience
​
Ability to apply provided lesson plans
​
Good rapport with children/youth
​
Strong faith and willing to share with others
​
Strong organizational and communication skills
​
Use resources in form of workbooks, Be My Disciples
​
Classroom Assistants are to assist the teacher with set up of activities and classroom management. They can share in the participation of lesson if comfortable for the 1.5 hours of class time
​
Hall Monitors are only responsible for 1.5 hours during weekly class time
