EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF THE EUCHARIST TO THE SICK AND SHUT-INS

Purpose

​

To facilitate the distribution of Holy Communion to the Sick and Shut-ins

Time Commitment

 

One Lord’s Day Mass a week, a couple of times per month based on a rotation depending on the number of Extraordinary

​

Ministers

Talents/Skills Required

​

Be a practicing Catholic, at least 19 years of age


Must have received the sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)


Follow the strict guidelines required to bring the Eucharist to the sick (training to be provided)


Keep silent, pray and be reverent while bearing the Eucharist


Be compassionate, respectful and maintain confidence


Have a valid driver’s license and/or access to a vehicle


Travel with an unrelated co-Extraordinary Minister (must work in pairs)
