Society of St. Vincent de Paul News

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who gave a donation in our November first collection. Your generosity will help us in our mission of serving those in need. We received $3100.

 

 

Angel Tree

The Angel Tree has been a tradition at St Rose of Lima church for as long as anyone can remember. It has put a gift under the tree for many children and adults on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, because of the virus, we will not be putting the tree up this year. However, we know that some people may still wish to help those in need at this time. If you would like to donate a gift card for groceries, Wal-Mart or gas you can put it in our poor box at the back of the church.

THE SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL

Purpose

 

To see Christ in the poor and assist in all possible ways

Assistance to those in need in the form of food, heating oil, electricity, rent, clothing, finding jobs, Angel tree, Our Daily Bread, St. Anthony Reach and transportation as required.

Time Commitment

 

Once a month meeting on second Monday

Monthly HPC Halifax Particular Council meetings

Answer emails looking for assistances

 

Take phone calls

Additional screening process through SSVP
