EUCHARISTIC (EXTRAORDINARY) MINISTERS
Purpose
​
To assist the Pastor with distribution of Holy Communion at Mass (weekly at Saturday/Sunday liturgy and at special Feasts and other Liturgical Celebrations)
Time Commitment
​
Ministers: Approximately two masses each month and approximately four special liturgies each year (e.g. Christmas Eve)
​
Coordinator: about two hours, four times each year (organize quarterly schedule and special schedules (e.g. Holy Week), and member of Liturgy Cmte
Talents/Skills Required
​
Be a practicing Catholic
Must have received the sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)
Follow the guidelines required; training and practice session to be provided and Installation.
Keep silent, pray and be reverent while bearing the Eucharist
Be approachable, compassionate, respectful, and maintain confidence and coordination
Be able to safely handle consumables
